Surge Value System
The Auto Surge Valve Control System offers protection against a vacuum source surge (low-pulsing air flow) and ensuing vibration that would result in either short component life or immediate failure. The Auto Surge Valve Control System provides a regulated air flow to the vacuum source by monitoring motor amperage and bleeding in atmospheric air.
This system also offers brake horsepower savings by operating a vacuum source at a desirable point on its performance curve.
The Auto Surge Valve Control System consists of the auto surge valve, the auto surge control panel and the current transformer.
Application
This system allows atmospheric air flow to be bled into the inlet piping of a low vacuum blower (70" H2O or lower), preventing surge and cavitation of the blower and its vacuum air stream during the process. Preventing this occurrence resolves excessive blower vibration and vacuum pulses or swings.
