About Kadant AES Division
Kadant AES Division serves the pulp and paper industry with products and technologies primarily applied to the forming of paper in the wet end of the paper machine, the cleaning of forming fabrics and press fabrics, and filtration of process water in the papermaking process. The company has a large base of installed equipment and offers continuous support through a complete line of spare parts and associated services. Kadant AES product development, design, manufacturing, and sales are primarily centered in Queensbury, New York. The major market for Kadant AES products is the paper industry in North America, but our products are also manufactured and sold by associated companies in Europe, South America, and Asia. The name AES was established ln 1972 when Albany International bought the company from a family-owned business, A.E. Broughton, a well-respected name in the paper industry. Broughton had invented the hydraulic oscillator principle and manufactured showers, filters and vacuum control systems. Albany International soon added another well-respected family business, A. P. Wagenknecht Company, a maker of fourdrinier drainage equipment and polyethylene products. The company also bought P.P.M.A. of Pointe Claire, Canada, in 1974, and the Bird Machine Company's doctoring products line ln 1975. Kadant Inc. acquired AES from Albany International in 1993. 436 Quaker Road |
